Born in Germany, Stacy Wall grew up and watched a lot of television in North Carolina.

After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Stacy spent nine years at Wieden+Kennedy as a copywriter and creative director on Nike and ESPN.

Stacy transitioned to directing commercials in 2001. Ten years later he was named by the DGA the greatest commercial director in the world.

Along with producing partner Doug Halbert, Stacy launched Imperial Woodpecker, a company dedicated to making bespoke baseball caps and letterpress stationary. The company’s goal from day one was to produce the last TV commercial ever made. The dream continues.
